Nightskijöring

Every year on Rose Monday, the Kastelruth Riding Club organizes an extraordinary event together with the ski schools: Night Skijoring!
At this event, a ski instructor skis down the slope and is then pulled back up by a horse – all against the clock. Whoever has the best time and makes the fewest mistakes wins.Sounds crazy? It is - but in the best possible way!

Road Closure:
On Monday, 16/02/2026, Oswald-von-Wolkenstein-Straße will be closed to vehicular traffic in the section between house number 17 and the Garni Schönblick building (house number 49) as follows:
• From 1:00 PM to 7:05 PM: closure for all vehicle traffic. The detour will be via Dolomitenstraße, Plattenstraße, and Telfen. Public buses, local residents, and emergency vehicles are exempt from the closure.
• From 7:05 PM to 11:30 PM: total closure for all vehicle traffic. The detour will still be via Dolomitenstraße, Plattenstraße, and Telfen. Only emergency vehicles are exempt.
