Kastelruth, Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern, Tiers am Rosengarten and the
Seiser Alm come together to form the Dolomite region of the Seiser Alm, and the Gateway to the Dolomites. Nestled in the
breathtaking landscape of the
UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, these five Dolomite locations offer
sports enthusiasts, families, foodies and all those in search of peace and tranquillity the perfect environment for a mountain holiday.
Preserving the Dolomite region as a
sustainable, attractive place to live for both locals and guests, and ensuring that everybody can enjoy a unique experience of fun and pleasure in this area, is of the utmost importance to us. In pursuing this aim, the following issues take a priority position: The preservation of the unique natural landscape; the promotion of environmentally friendly transportation and infrastructure; sustainable economic development on a wider scale; fostering local cycles; and the preservation of the defining characteristics of the area.
We are of one mind that all economic, ecological and social decisions must be taken with sustainability in mind, that agricultural and environmental protection must be fundamental considerations in all future decisions, and that a mindful, respectful approach towards resources must be the fundamental prerequisite for longterm development of the area as terms of
nature, the economy, and as a habitat.
