Together with Val Gardena, the Seiser Alm forms a ski area with 181 km of slopes and 79 lifts – making Seiser Alm/Val Gardena the biggest ski area in the Dolomites! Adventurous ski tours such as the Seiser Alm Ronda, the Seiser Alm/Val Gardena Ronda and the Sellaronda take you on a day trip through the Dolomites.

In the winter season 2025/2026 the ski area to open from 05.12.2025 until 06.04.2026.

On the Seiser Alm, comfort is very important. Not only the vastness of the largest high Alpine pasture in Europe conveys a feeling of peace and comfort but also the convenience of the 20 chair lifts. While at some ski resorts it is often necessary to take off your skis before every gondola ride, which results in long waiting times and crowds, on the Seiser Alm, you can keep your skis on. Skiers can save valuable time also because all the slopes that crossed the roads have been bridged by the new passages. This means that the connections between the ski runs can be used without any annoying loss of time. This means that the skiing day is fully utilised. A feeling of cosiness is also reflected in the numerous family-run huts. Skiers and snowboarders enjoy the easy access to the huts directly along the slopes, the nature experience with fantastic views of the Dolomite peaks and the traditional dishes.

The village lift is a small ski lift in Kastelruth. The ski lift and ski slope are especially suitable for beginners and very popular with families with small children. The ski slope is 450 m long and can be classified as easy.

The village lift is connected to the Dolomiti Superski area and you can use the Seiser Alm/Val Gardena ski pass as well as the Dolomiti Superski skipass. The points cards for the village lift are available at the valley station of the village lift and at the Kastelruth ski pass office.

The ski schools “Schlern 3000” and “Seiseralm” offer ski lessons for children on Christmas holidays, all Sundays, on Carnival holidays and as well on request.

Mono Skiing on the Seiser Alm

Also in winter, the Seiser Alm is an ideal place to explore the breathtaking landscape, especially for mono-skiers. In January 2024, we invited BarrierScout Hans Peter Schraffl to conduct a barrier-free check of the Seiser Alm ski area and he provided us with a positive feedback. Hans Peter Schraffl thoroughly tested the ski area, from the parking lot to the lifts and ski slopes. His final words were: “The Seiser Alm ski area is ideal for monoskiers. From the car park to the lifts, everything is perfectly suitable for wheelchair users. Even without implementing the suggestions for improvement, the ski area can be described as very wheelchair-friendly. The ski area is certainly a leader in South Tyrol.”.
