Off to the Seiser Alm/Gröden ski area!

The ski area in South Tyrol for winter fans of all ages

Welcome to the Seiser Alm/Gröden ski area, the largest ski area in the Dolomites! It is the result of the merger between the Seiser Alm ski area and the Gröden ski area – and each has its own unique advantages. In the snow-sure Seiser Alm ski area, hobby skiers and families in particular feel right at home. The panorama from Europe’s largest Alpine pasture is breathtaking, the slopes are sunny, wide, and mostly easy. And the best part? You don’t have to take off your skis all day: all slopes are perfectly connected via ski slope crossing, ski lifts, and chairlifts. In the Gröden ski area, on the other hand, experts are in exactly the right place. Here you will find numerous challenging slopes for anyone who wants to show what they can do and really push themselves. The ski area Seiser Alm/Gröden is open from 4th December 2026 to 4th April 2027.

A total of 181 kilometres of slopes and 79 ropeway systems await you in the Seiser Alm/Gröden ski area – and you can use them all with just one ski pass. After skiing, you can indulge yourself in the cosy, family-run mountain huts, where you’ll be treated to delicious dishes ranging from Alpine classics to Mediterranean creations. What a delight!

    The interactive ski escape game of the Seiser Alm Ronda

    Since December 2025, families, teenagers, and adults of all ages can look forward to a unique slope adventure along the Seiser Alm Ronda: the interactive escape game “The witches’ flight across the Seiser Alm”.
    You can choose between two levels of difficulty and complete the circuit either in one day or spread across several days. Equipped with a treasure map, you collect symbols at seven stations, solve riddles via an app, and interact with your surroundings to complete the adventure. Ready to begin?+

    Children and teenagers who have successfully completed the escape game can pick up a small reward at the tourist association.

    Variant for families with kids (8 to 12 years)
    This variant of the escape game is designed for families with children aged eight to twelve. Attention, young witches-in-training: a witch exam with eight exciting tasks awaits you in the Seiser Alm ski area. With a little help from Witch Nix, you’ll definitely manage to solve them. Anyone who completes all tasks is ceremoniously welcomed into the guild of Schlern witches and receives their own witch’s broom – hooray!

    Variant for teenagers from 13 years & adults
    Attention all game enthusiasts aged 13 to 130! Witch Nix and her six sisters have disappeared; no one knows where they’ve gone. Your mission is now a dangerous one: you must enter the mysterious spell zone, find seven hidden runes, and free the missing witches.

    Nature as our greatest asset
    To protect nature as best as possible, we must all do our part. In the Seiser Alm ski area, we implement concrete measures for climate protection. After all, an intact natural environment is the foundation of our work. It goes without saying that we must – and want to – protect this asset, not only for ourselves but above all for future generations.

    What we have done so far
    For years, we have been committed to environmental and climate protection, sourcing green electricity, optimising snowmaking and slope grooming, and thus reducing our CO₂ footprint. What we cannot reduce, we try to compensate. We offset unavoidable emissions by financially supporting local climate projects.

    Environmental protection & green electricity
    All facilities on the Seiser Alm are powered by electricity. Both the ropeway systems and the snowmaking systems use certified green electricity from South Tyrolean hydropower, demonstrably produced CO₂-free.
    Environmental protection is also about landscape preservation. To maintain the natural scenery, lift stations are integrated into the landscape as effectively as possible, the stations of the ropeway systems are built underground, and removed turf sods are reused for re-greening. Seeds from mother plants are collected in advance and sown again.
