In a district of Kastelruth, in the idyllic St. Oswald, lies the Farm Lafoglhof. Here Tabea lives with her partner and their two children – along with many animals that have one thing in common: they all deserve a second chance.
Tabea loves animals, big or small. Many of her charges are rescued animals: guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, goats, sheep, horses, and ponies. Each animal has its own story and today can live in peace and safety on the farm.
Through her work in animal protection, Tabea is passionate about teaching children, families, locals, and visitors a respectful and mindful approach to animals. This is how a little “animal world with heart” has grown at Lafoglhof.
The Farm Lafoglhof is not a petting zoo. Encounters happen consciously, calmly, and always under Tabea’s guidance. It’s not about entertainment – it’s about genuine connection.

Farm tour & meeting the animals Quiet and mindful time with our animals. Meet, observe, and experience real encounters. Many of our animals have special life stories.

Understand & experience horses Meet ponies and horses, bring them from the pasture, groom them, and enjoy a short guided ride at a walk or longeing.

From Kastelruth, you can take bus 177 to St. Oswald. Get off at the Lafogl stop – and you’re right at the farm.
