All along the trails of the Running Park and on the hiking trails in the Alpe di Siusi holiday area, with the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites on the horizon, you will find a variety of guided Balance events which encourage you to practice outdoors activities and, above all, to turn you on to the world of running. You can discover a lot of different parcours and trails, which can be enjoyed on your own. Places of Balance and various suggestions are waiting for you to be experienced.

As the nature awakens in spring, the urge to get out into the open air gets ever stronger. One of the most enjoyable things about running and walking is the movement in nature; it’s a great way to fill your lungs with fresh air, and to re-acquaint oneself with nature. Running and walking banish stress and release endorphins – the “happy hormones” that put us in a good mood. Healthy movement means self-awareness, expanding of horizons and strengthening of one’s own character. It means freedom, and at the same time an intense awareness of oneself and of nature.
With our spring offers, you will find your inner balance through healthy movement in the unique open spaces of the Alpe di Siusi holiday area.

Orthopaedic foot analysis and the right equipment for running and walking
Meeting place: Castelrotto, fountain in the village centre
Duration: 4 - 5.30 p.m.

Our running coach will analyse your feet and give you an advice about the right running shoe for you. You will also have the opportunity to analyse running, hiking and mountaineering footwear at the test corner. At the group “self-test” on the athletics track in Castelrotto, you will have the chance to ascertain how your running style affects your body, discover what a difference the right pair of running shoes makes, and learn how greatly your feet affect your wellbeing.

Wood-run – training methods and running surface
Meeting place: Tires al Catinaccio, fountain in the village centre

Running through the woods is not only packed with variety; the wood-air is beautifully perfumed with the resin of the trees, a scent which is wonderful for the airways. In the heart of the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Reserve, our running experts will be giving you practical running tips for beginners and expert runners alike. What goals should you set yourself and what guidelines should you follow in order to reach your targets? Come and discover how much training and what kind of gait you should adopt to help you to get the most out of movement; and all with a breathtaking view over the Catinaccio mountain.

Cookery workshop: Healthy nutrition for athletes
Meeting place: Castelrotto, Hotel Alla Torre

A healthy, balanced diet helps you burn fat and build muscles. Egon Zuggal will be explaining everything you need to know about the right diet for athletes and providing you with some handy hints to take home, while the head chef at the Hotel alla Torre in Castelrotto will be showing you round his realms and preparing a light, healthy meal and smoothies together with you, to enjoy afterwards in the guests’ garden or the cosy Stube lounge room.
Morning daybreak run with picnic

What could be nicer than a daybreak run in the morning? Early risers are rewarded with clear, fresh air and the tranquillity of the morning to get the day off to a good start. A spot of healthy outdoor activity is always the best way to kick-start the day, particularly in spring when nature is astir once more. After a superb morning run followed by morning aerobics with our running expert, we will be tucking in to a picnic breakfast at a panoramic viewpoint.

Mens sana in corpore sano - Healthy body, healthy mind

The right body tension, physical awareness, coordination training and adaptability are of vital importance in living a healthy lifestyle and finding the right running technique, and they also help to lighten your step. When running outdoors, the terrain underfoot changes frequently, and the body must be able to adapt to these changes. On a leisurely run round the hill S.Pietro, the oldest settlement in Fiè, our running coach will be giving you some pointers to help you improve your skills in this challenging area and to understand the connection between movement and quality of life.

Early morning balance and activation– the Five Tibetans®
Meeting place: Castelrotto, fountain in the village centre

The best start of the day: The “Five Tibetans®” are a combination of five exercises for a healthy mind and body. Find your wellbeing, vitality and relaxation and stock up on strength and energy for the day. The dynamic movement of the five exercises together with awareness and regular, mindful breathing will stimulate every muscle, sinew, ligament and organ in your body: A simple, effective method to bring your body into balance in the morning. Participants to the course will find their daily quota of mental and physical strength on the Monte Calvario hill in Castelrotto.
