Transhumance - welcoming of the cattle - festival

The cattle return from the alpine pastures to the valleys and South Tyrol celebrates!
Especially the cows are lavishly decorated on their return from the alpine pastures.
Also in Kastelruth the Almabtrieb is celebrated. At the Feldheimhof in St. Valentin, the band "Dolomitenecho" will entertain you with musical sounds from 10:00, the Kastelruther Bauernbuffet will provide the culinary delicacies and the absolute highlight will be the alphorn players and the "Goaslschnöller".
From 12:00 o'clock the highlight of the festival is admired, the spectacle of the cows passes by decorated and with pride at the crowd.

You get - 50% for the ticket of the Marinzenlift, from the Marinzenalm you reach in about 30 minutes (hiking trail no. 11), the feast place.
From Kastelruth you reach in 1 hour (hiking trail nr. 4), the feast place.
By car you can drive to St. Valentin, there are parking spaces available.
Bus: From Castelrotto you can take line 10 (price: 4€) to the Hotel Valentinerhof, from there a free shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes to the feast site.
Bus: From Castelrotto you can take line 10 (price: 4€) to the InfoPoint - St.Valentin, from there you can reach the feast place in 15 minutes - easy, asphalted hiking trail -suitable for child carriages.
Bus: From Siusi allo Sciliar or Alpe di Siusi cable car you can take line 5 to the Hotel Valentinerhof.
