Seiser Alm Marketing - Völs am Schlern
At the open-air live culinary show, local chefs prepare dishes using regional products that originate 100% from the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm. The only exceptions are oil, salt, pepper, and sugar. Afterwards, the specialties can be tasted by the audience.
Food lovers can look forward to specialties by Julian Mair from Restaurant Schönblick in Vöser Aicha and Marc Oberhofer from the Lamplstube in Kastelruth. The latter was named “Chef of the Year 2026” in the German-speaking region of Europe by the “Great Restaurant & Hotel Guide.” In addition, attendees can try their hand at making Schüttelbrot and take home valuable tips from the chefs.
At the same time, a gourmet market will take place in the village square, where local producers will showcase and offer their products for sale. These include wines, spirits and juices, as well as grains, vegetables, honey, cheese, speck, and much more.
The group Håndmade will provide the musical accompaniment for the culinary event.
This edition of “South Tyrol Cooks” is a preview of the culinary weeks “Schlerngenuss Dolomites – 100% local,” which will take place from June 6 to 21 in 12 participating restaurants in Kastelruth, Seis am Schlern, on the Seiser Alm, and in Völs am Schlern.
