Running on the Seiser Alm

The most beautiful running routes in South Tyrol

Running in the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm is simply wonderful – and the pros know it too. Up on the Seiser Alm, at an altitude between 1,800 and 2,300 metres, the air is thinner, making it ideal for endurance training. The plateau is also relatively flat, which makes it perfectly suited to running. The real highlight? Without a doubt, the enchanting view of the Dolomites.

The largest running area is the Running Park Seiser Alm, offering 240 km of routes of varying levels. Eight of the 20 well-marked running trails lie directly on Europe’s largest Alpine pasture, while twelve routes are located in the villages of Kastelruth, Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern and Tiers am Rosengarten.
If you come to South Tyrol for running, you should definitely try trail running and mountain running around Tiers am Rosengarten.
