Your family winter holiday

An activity-filled winter holiday in the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm

During a winter holiday in South Tyrol, and especially here in the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm, you and your loved ones can enjoy unforgettable experiences in the snow throughout the entire season. The Seiser Alm ski area, with its wide, sunny slopes and various fun parks, is particularly family friendly. Extra excitement awaits during the Ski Escape Game of the Seiser Alm Ronda.

The village ropeway in Kastelruth, with its easy slope and adjacent fun park, is ideal for learning to ski for the first time. Or would you prefer to try something new this year? Then why not explore cross-country skiing, tobogganing, or take a few laps on the ice rink at the Völser Weiher/Lake Völs or on the Marinzen Alm?

You can also enjoy atmospheric winter hikes – both up on the Seiser Alm and around the villages of Kastelruth, Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern and Tiers am Rosengarten. Additionally, the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm hosts numerous events for younger and older adventurers and events at Castle Prösels with child-friendly tours and exciting escape games. At the Nature Park Schlern-Rosengarten, you can explore interactive models together and learn more about the protected area and its flora and fauna.

Whether you stay in one of the villages or up on the Seiser Alm – you can look forward to warm hospitality, good food and plenty of fun for children, parents and grandparents.

Since December 2025, families, teenagers, and adults of all ages can look forward to a unique slope adventure along the Seiser Alm Ronda: the interactive escape game “The witches’ flight across the Seiser Alm”.
You can choose between two levels of difficulty and complete the circuit either in one day or spread across several days. Equipped with a treasure map, you collect symbols at seven stations, solve riddles via an app, and interact with your surroundings to complete the adventure. Ready to begin?
  • Three children reading a map
Variant for families with kids (8 to 12 years)
This variant of the escape game is designed for families with children aged eight to twelve. Attention, young witches-in-training: a witch exam with eight exciting tasks awaits you in the Seiser Alm ski area. With a little help from Witch Nix, you’ll definitely manage to solve them. Anyone who completes all tasks is ceremoniously welcomed into the guild of Schlern witches and receives their own witch’s broom – hooray!
  • Two people in ski gear look at a map together on a mountain summit next to a signpost in the snow
Variant for teenagers from 13 years & adults
Attention all game enthusiasts aged 13 to 130! Witch Nix and her six sisters have disappeared; no one knows where they’ve gone. Your mission is now a dangerous one: you must enter the mysterious spell zone, find seven hidden runes, and free the missing witches.

Shaped with great care, award-winning and larger than any other in South Tyrol – this is the Snowpark Seiser Alm, featuring a 1.5-kilometre park line and around 40 obstacles. The Snowpark Seiser Alm has received several awards. Its location within the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site makes it even more distinctive: the spectacular mountain backdrop with the Schlern and surrounding peaks provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable freestyle experience. Occasionally, contests, shows, events and parties take place in the Snowpark Seiser Alm – for even more action and fun while skiing.
  • A group of people sledding in winter
Tobogganing fun for young and old
The small toboggan run in Compatsch, located across from the church, is brand new. It offers both a toboggan run and a sliding hill. Patrick Lambacher, a former luge world champion from Villnöss, gives free tobogganing lessons three times per week, including tips on braking and steering techniques. Outside course hours, the park is freely accessible to everyone at any time.
  • A family is skiing, with the Schlern mountain in the background
Legendary ski fun with Dolomites views
The Seiser Alm Ronda is a ski circuit for the whole family. You can start either at the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway or in St. Ulrich in Gröden. At seven action-packed stations – including the Seiser Alm Snowpark, the kids’ fun park, self-timer points and speed traps – you will find wooden pillars telling stories from the Dolomite sagas: tales of witches and sorcerers, of their meeting place on the Schlern, of the Kochler Hans and the Witches’ Seats. Enjoy the experience!
