Winery tours
In spring and autumn, you can visit and tour various wineries in Völs am Schlern and take part in a wine tasting. A small fee applies, covering the tour as well as the transfer to and from the winery. The meeting point is the Tourist Office in Völs am Schlern; from there, you head together to the respective winery. Every two years in July, the farmers’ breakfast takes place in Völs am Schlern. Local farmers and winegrowers serve a wide range of homemade delicacies. The dumplings festival
They are round, they are delicious, and they are steeped in tradition – the South Tyrolean dumplings. They also take centre stage at the Dumplings Festival, held in July and August on the village square in Kastelruth. When tasting them, their many variations will keep surprising you with a delighted “Mmmmh!” Dumplings simply fascinate – in flavour and appearance.
