Snowshoe Hike in the Latemar area

Experience the pure magic of winter with a snowshoe hike in the deep winter Latemar area, where untouched snowy landscapes and the imposing panorama of the Dolomites promise an unforgettable nature experience.

Tour Description:
After a short bus ride, we begin our hike at the Paolina Chairlift Valley Station. The trail climbs steadily through the Latemar Forest towards the Latemar Hut and continues on to the Labyrinth Trail. Once we have crossed this impressive section, we arrive at the Mitterleger. From there, we descend towards the Grandhotel and finally return to our starting point.

* Meeting point:
We will meet at 09:00 at the Paolina bus stop.
- Coming from Tires: take bus line 186, departing from Bolzano (time 07:52 h), via Tires (08:21, Brunnenplatz/Piazza fontana) and San Cipriano (08:31, with possible connection from line 176), to the Paolina stop.
- Coming from the Eggental Valley: take bus line 180, also departing from Bolzano (time 08:07), via Birchabruck bus station (08:30, with possible connections from lines 181 and 182) and Nova Levante/Welschnofen Center (time 08:43), to the Paolina stop.
Boarding is possible at any stop along both routes.

Hiking Time: Approximately 4.5 hours
Ascent: Approximately 400 m
Descent: Approximately 400 m
Difficulty: Moderate hike, good basic fitness required
Refreshment Stop: No refreshment stop, it is recommended to bring a packed lunch

Snowshoeing equipment must be brought by the participant.

If snow conditions do not require the use of snowshoes, we will inform participants via email the day before. In this case, we ask everyone to bring microspikes and appropriate mountain boots to ensure safety and comfort during the tour.
Please check your email the evening before the tour to make sure you have the correct equipment.

Participants who do not bring the required equipment unfortunately cannot take part in the hike for safety reasons.
