Farm Experience: from milk to cheese

This event is offered only in German and Italian.

At the Gostner Schwaige mountain hut, we make fresh cheese from fresh cow’s milk. Farmer Franz tells us everything about the journey of milk from the cow to the cheese. During a comparative tasting, we discover the different flavors of milk. Once our fresh cheese is ready, we fill it into containers and decorate it. Before we set off again, we can also taste our homemade alpine fresh cheese.

For children aged 6 and over, accompanied by at least one adult per family!
The event can only be booked on site at the local tourist offices.

Price per event:
1 adult and 1 child: €25.00
each additional family member: €10.00

From Compatsch on the Seiser Alm, you can reach the Gostner Schwaige on a 45-minute hike. Alternatively, you can take the Almbus at 3:15 p.m. from Compatsch to the “Hotel Steger Dellai” stop, and from there it’s a 15-minute walk to the Gostner Schwaige.

A refund of the amount paid is only possible in the event of cancellation by the organizer.
In this case, the paid amount must be collected from the tourist office where the payment was made.
