Swimming at the foot of the Schlern

Dive in headfirst and enjoy boundless water fun

When swimming in the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm, you can enjoy the breathtaking Dolomites panorama while cooling off wonderfully on hot summer days. The Telfen outdoor pool, located between Kastelruth and Seis am Schlern, offers a magnificent view of the Santner peak and the Schlern.
The Völser Weiher/Lake Völs, situated close to Völs and at the foot of the Schlern, is one of the cleanest bathing lakes in Italy. A separate baby pool allows even the youngest visitors to splash around and play. Both locals and holidaymakers love spending time here. You can reach the lake on foot, by shuttle or by car, which can be parked in the nearby paid car park.

Award for the Völser Weiher/Lake Völs
The Völser Weiher is regularly awarded 5 sails, the highest distinction given by the environmental organisation Legambiente for outstanding ecosystems. It consistently ranks among the three cleanest bathing lakes in Italy.
For anyone interested in the scientific details: the water quality of the Völser Weiher is regularly analysed at the biological laboratory of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, and the results are publicly accessible.

Kneipping in the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm
The Kneipp facilities
The Kneipp facility in Ratzes lies at the foot of the Schlern, very close to the Hotel Bad Ratzes. It is fed with fresh spring water. You can look forward to invigorating Kneipp treatments in the wading basin and pure refreshment at the arm and facial basin. Cosy seating areas invite you to linger and listen to the soothing murmur of the Frötsch stream. By the way: there is also a Kneipp facility at the entrance to Kastelruth and another at the Völser Weiher. The best way to enjoy the one at the Völser Weiher is to combine your visit with a swim in this popular lake.
