In June, you can look forward to a very special culinary highlight: the Schlerngenuss Dolomites gourmet weeks. Under the motto “100% local”, the participating restaurateurs use exclusively products from the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm in their kitchens (with the exception of oil, salt, pepper and sugar). From these local ingredients they create delicious dishes for food lovers and gourmets.
The focus of the event lies on the sense of community among local people and on a culinary offering that is rooted in sustainability and regionality. In addition, the participating restaurateurs, farmers and producers aim to further strengthen their collaboration – ideally well beyond the event itself.

Kick-off event of the culinary weeks
South Tyrol cooks
The kick-off event will be the live cooking show “South Tyrol Cooks” on May 22, 2026, in the village square of Castelrotto. At the event, chefs from participating establishments in the culinary weeks “Schlerngenuss” will prepare dishes using 100% ingredients from the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm, which will then be available for the audience to taste. At the same time, a gourmet market will be held in the village square, where local producers will exhibit and offer their products for sale.

On 6th June, the church square of Völs am Schlern turns into a meeting place for food lovers from near and far. Local chefs, farmers and producers prepare a wide variety of delicacies right before your eyes, either at show-cooking stations or at market-style stands.
