In September and October, a very special event series awaits you here on the Seiser Alm and in the villages of Kastelruth, Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern and Tiers am Rosengarten. Autumn pleasures in the mountains combines outdoor adventures in the unique Dolomites landscape with moments of pure enjoyment.
Among the highlights are guided sunrise hikes with breakfast in a mountain hut, culinary walks with tastings, and traditional Törggelen hikes. Take your time to experience these extraordinary events with full awareness!

On the Petz with breakfast at the Schlernhaus hutThe moment the first sunrays touch the surrounding peaks, you know that getting up early was worth it. A guided sunrise hike on the Schlern – up to the Petz at 2,564 m – is a truly special experience. Join in! -
To the Plattkofel & breakfast at the Plattkofel hutThe Plattkofel is one of the most distinctive and well-known panoramic peaks in the South Tyrolean Dolomites thanks to its extraordinary shape. From the summit at 2,955 m, sunrise offers a spectacular 360° view across the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. -
Guided hike with breakfast at the Tierser Alpl hutEarly-morning hiking is especially magical – you’ll notice it as soon as you reach the Rosszahn ridge high above the Seiser Alm. The sunrise light over the Dolomites is simply unique! -
Völseggspitze & breakfast at the Tschafon hutIs there anything more beautiful than experiencing mountain tranquillity at dawn? On this guided hike from Tiers am Rosengarten to the Völsegg Peak (1,834 m), you will enjoy an unforgettable sunrise panorama. Afterwards, the family-run hut between the Schlern and the myth-enshrouded Rosengarten serves a traditional mountain breakfast made with South Tyrolean quality products.
Ready for some fascinating visits? At the Hof Zu Fall dairy farm you will learn interesting facts about animal husbandry, the processing of fresh milk into different products, and modern agriculture.
In Völs am Schlern you can visit several wineries and take part in a wine tasting. Naturally, you will also discover plenty of interesting details about viticulture, winemaking and outstanding vintages.

Bread-baking course: Schüttelbrot & VinschgerlenAt the Oberprantacher bakery, we bake traditional South Tyrolean breads together with baker Klaus. You will learn where the name Schüttelbrot comes from and how to tear the Vinschgerlen. Your handmade Schüttelbrot and a hand-torn Paarl can be taken home as a souvenir.

Kaiserschmarrn cooking courseOn the Seiser Alm, the Gostner Schwaige offers step-by-step instructions on how to prepare one of South Tyrol’s most beloved desserts: the Kaiserschmarrn. Fresh regional ingredients are essential – and of course, we taste our homemade Kaiserschmarrn right on site.

Dumpling cooking courseIn a rustic mountain hut on the Seiser Alm, Franz shows you how to prepare traditional South Tyrolean dumplings. Using regional ingredients, you will create delicious dumplings and at the same time gain fascinating insights into local cuisine. Afterwards, everyone eats together – and with mountain views, dumplings taste twice as good.

A day with Maria Anna cooking dumplingsAfter a guided hike from Kastelruth to St. Valentin, we spend the day at the Patenerhof cooking various types of dumplings with farmer Maria Anna. Afterwards we taste everything we have cooked – a true delight. Expect wonderful conversations and plenty of culinary memories!

Besides Törggelen, craftsmanship is another deeply rooted tradition here. At the event Old handicraft under the Schlern, you will learn more about traditional crafts and discover how challenging barrel-making, basket-weaving or spinning can be.

Guided hikes dedicated to indulgenceOn these guided hikes, enjoyment is certainly not neglected. You will see: after walking in the refreshing autumn air, the culinary delights taste even better. -
Autumn hike with mill and farm tour and traditional lunch (German and Italian only)We take the bus to the Moarmüller Mill. After the tour and a short demonstration of the 16th-century mill in operation, we continue with a leisurely walk to the historic estate of Zimmerlehen. Following a traditional lunch, Isidor and his son Simon guide us through the historic farmstead with its chapel and barn. Afterwards, participants return individually to the starting point.

Culinary hike, farm visit & egg specialityTogether with Martha, we take a leisurely hike across the Schererplatzl to Krahof farm. There, the farm doors open for us: we learn interesting facts about free-range chicken farming and the popular South Tyrolean free-range eggs. Afterwards, we enjoy a delicious egg specialty, lovingly prepared with products from the farm.

The secrets of real South Tyrolean StrudelWith hiking guide Paula, we set off from Seis am Schlern towards St. Oswald. At the Puntschiederhof we enjoy a short tasting of apple juice and apples. We then continue to Gasthaus St. Oswald, where we can watch the preparation of a traditional South Tyrolean apple strudel – and enjoy it together afterwards.

E-mountain bike Pure pleasure tourThis e-MTB tour focuses entirely on enjoyment. Expect unique experiences relating to cuisine, nature, culture and sport.
Starting from Völs am Schlern, we ride along scenic paths to beautiful viewpoints. We visit charming hamlets, legendary meadows, idyllic ponds and rustic alpine huts, all while taking in the breathtaking panorama.
